Apres Fort Bill

Just came back from a great weekend racing. It was my 4th time on the 4x bike in about 7months after having a number of broken bones and a winter season away. Qualifying went well apart from loosing a lot of speed on the first corner. But no crashes was the main aim! 36th Saturday night practice was good, the weather wasnt too Scottish either! They had made a great change to the track with a new rock garden with a number of different lines. Nice to see it getting a steep rock section in the 4x too! Many thanks to Phil Saxena for that :) Its nice to see a line a world cup where only a few riders will try the fast line and that was one of them! Racing was great fun, I was sceptical how my gates were going to be but Round 1 I stayed next to Dan Atherton into the next corner but he kept me on the outside and I finished 2nd going through to the next round. Round 2 was a close call, after a wobbly gate I caught back up and tried going outside on the 1st corner but didnt gain any ground, me and Dan Atherton were scrubbing tyres around the mid section then nearly collided in over the big table jump. In the end he covered his lines well and I finished 3rd. overall I placed 23rd and it was great to get back on the 4x bike!
